We waded into the sea up to our shoulders
made shallow talk for show, while waves
hummed white noise like wind shook trees
It was when I felt your foot slide
a stone to mine that I knew we
were secret agents. Geodes turned
between us & alibi spelled themselves
by touch in a braille of goosebumps

All dreams are poems if you tell them right

I may have thrown a tantrum at Circuit Shitty & kind of laughed maniacally at a "Customers 1st" sign & then tossed my USB drive into a random bin & exclaimed loudly I ain't buyin' shit heer! before stomping out, maybe, but the cashiers were acting like apathetic high-fivin' congregatin' no-good punkasses & I have been keeping it v. real lately.

In grooming my list of obligatory

~Blues Brothers (comedy)**** the scene with John getting the holy spirit is a sight to behold.

hmmm, there would be a toss up between Wild @ Heart & City of Lost Children in terms of wanting to see them over & over.

i hear this about Gone w/ Wind. that many end up loving it once they give it a chance.
& i trust you.

Harold y Maude made me embarrassed for everyone involved.
like, she taught the boy not to kill hisself by doing it first? or what? the message was just lost on me. but i'm kind of a jerkass.

Yeah I didn't get the message either. Plus the characters didn't do anything for me. I was like, okay, so, emo teenager and crazy old lady. How riveting.

I would actually love to see a list of movies you hate or think are overrated. But I'm kind of a pessimistic stick-in-the-mud like that.

I was trying to think of comedies to recommend you, but I'm really hard to please in this area too; it takes a lot to make me laugh out loud. Have you seen "Everything is Illuminated"? I found it surprisingly funny.

everything is illuminated

Hm, for starters:

Citizen Kane (wtf)
Once (like one long mediocre Damien Rice music video)
Million Dollar Baby (so cheesy and predictable)
Ratatouille (It was okay but made me long for the days of animated Disney)
The Passion of the Christ (torture porn)
The Squid in the Whale (I wanted to drop-kick every single character)
Prozac Nation (possibly the worst movie I've ever seen)

hahah torture pr0n.

YAy
ok ok my turn
ghost world - (don't touch her like that Steve Buscemi, noooo)
shop girl - (don't touch her like that Steve Martin, nooooooo)
forrest gump - (one stop walmart of movies/book, resplendent in almost every cliched story line)
lost in translaysh - (stare out foggy windows much? & scarlet is undeniably beautiful & untalented.)
sin city - (a veritable gatorade commercial of body fluids, hookers, guns, cops & crappy comic book dialogue)
all about mary - (fuck no.)
along came polly - (along came hell no.)

heee, million dollar baby made me want to be a boxer for about an hour.

Aw you know I love Lost in Translation, but I can understand why some wouldn't. I think I feel about "Once" how you feel about LIT.

I can't believe you actually saw Along Came Polly. There were diarrhea jokes in the TRAILOR!

You ruined Forrest Gump for me, BTW. I used to like it and then you mentioned in a post why you hated it and then I watched it again and I was like, "Stacie was right, this is some bullshit." Oh well.
