it's just a natural instinct for me to want to know as much as possible about the person behind what affects me. of course there are some instances where i find out incriminating things about the artist that seem to damage the work, that i wish i had not discovered...
it makes me think of how children sometimes behave in ways that reveal their upbringing, but in other instances it's daunting how different they are from their parents.
